Crown Energy Solutions installed additional propane storage at Gault Energy’s propane bulk plant at their location in Bridgeport, CT. CES constructed two sets of concrete piers to support the tanks. A truck service was provided to transport two new 30,000 gallon propane storage tanks to the job site. A crane service was implemented to remove the tanks from the flatbed trailers and be installed on the newly constructed concrete piers. The tanks were equipped with an indicating dial thermometer, 0-300 psi gauge, liquid and vapor shut-off valves and nitrogen-activated internal valves. The tanks were also equipped with three Fisher relief valves with 7’ risers and weather caps. Two 3” Corken Z3500 pumps with two 10 HP motors and a by-pass line back to the tanks were provided and installed.

The oringinal transport unload/bobtail load stanchion and meter were moved and reinstalled. In addition, the existing methanol injection system was relocated. Two bobtail load stanchions were also fabricated and installed approximately 10’ from the tanks. All new construction was completed in accordance with the latest edition of NFPA Pamphlet 58 specifications.

Two LC MA-15, 3” meters were provided and all the necessary piping and valving associated was installed for loading bobtails. CES tied in the existing nitrogen system to the internal valves on the new tanks for the emergency shut-down system. The piping for the new tanks was manifolded into all the existing piping.

The additional tanks and new piping were painted and color-coded.
