Historically, the love and commitment to the energy industry started with Roland Lamkin, he was the manager of Dalrymple Gas, a division of Gas, Inc. in Salem, NH. Roland’s son, Mark Lamkin soon began to enter his career in the propane industry with Dalrymple putting out 100# cylinders, driving bobtails and providing service work.
By 1975, Mark became the manager of Gas, Inc’s. Manchester, NH office. After Petrolane’s purchase in 1978, he became the district manager of their Manchester & Salem, NH offices as well as the office located in Westford, MA. Mark was building propane storage facilities for Petrolane which led him to the foundation of Quality Gas Service, Inc. in 1981.
Quality Gas Service continued plant construction and service until 2012, at which time, Mark’s son, Shawn Thrasher continued the business and founded Crown Energy Solutions, LLC. As many people in the industry know, Roland continued pursuing sales for Quality Gas Service well into his 80’s. Mark continues in his footsteps, supporting Crown Energy in his “retirement”.
